Just Another Excuse for Lucy Photos

Friday was pay day for me so, naturally, most of my spending money is already gone.

We've worked out a new budget for our family and I'm super excited about it (who gets excited about budgets?), but I also get excited about thrifting and finding little treasures hidden in stacks of junk, so there's that; however, I have resolved not to feel badly about having just $5 left of my spending money because, on Saturday, it was a beautiful 65 degrees and I took Lucy on her first yard sale/thrift store trip where we found the best stuff. THE BEST.

I've been searching Goodwills for a pair of flat oxfords (that fit my giant oar feet) for over a year and we finally stumbled across some with pink (!) soles at the sketchiest Value Village in Atlanta. And they were only two bucks. You can't beat that. We also found Lucy a 99 cent t-shirt in the boy's section that reads "Mom's Super Hero" on the front. And I bought that shit because OF COURSE.

We also accomplished a lot of necessary adult things, such as paying bills, filing taxes, grocery shopping, meal prep, and laundry. And we had dinner out with my family on Saturday. That was pretty awesome, too.

All in all it was a great weekend. My husband got into a fender bender this morning though (not his fault) so it's definitely Monday. But the car is still driveable and we have my old car in case we need something else. We were about to sell his Mustang anyway, so it's not a loss. In fact, it might end up being a good thing. Hooray for making blesses out of messes.

Okay, it's time for me to stop now and step away from the cliches. Happy Monday! May you make it home from work without a scratch and enjoy the rest of your week.
