pinterest in real life, part II

Hi friends! If you've followed me for any length of time, you've probably seen me reference this amazing antique mall in the Atlanta area called Queen of Hearts. I like to go there on my lunch break, sometimes to buy things and sometimes to just feel a little bit better about my day (that's a winner every time!). I call it "Pinterest in real life" because, well, that's exactly what it is. Refurbished antique furniture, 1960s melmac bowls, vintage wedding dresses...it's almost too much happiness to handle in one day, friends.

Do you see this dress? I mean, really. Oh gosh. It was from the 1950s and absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous. There were a few small tears in the tulle and some stains on the bust, but with the right person it could be more than wearable again, I'm sure.

I want to say this statement is not true, but who am I to talk? I take pictures of myself in antique store mirrors.

I know someone who sells her stuff at that shop! She has a blog where she posts some of her projects, too. She hasn't updated it in forever, but you may want to browse it if you're into this kind of stuff. It always amazes me how she can take something I would consider to be junk and actually make it pretty! http://trulyyoursdesignnet.blogspot.com/
