Chick-Fil-A sweet tea is like crack...

Happy Friday!

This is my first blog for Blogger, but definitely not my first blog. I've done MySpace (eh...), Wordpress (loved it, but since I already used my email there, and old accounts can't be deleted, I couldn't open a new one), and Blogger has a good reputation. I'm not quite sure what gives a blog site a good reputation, but there you have it. Congrats Blogger for making my words feel safe!

Anywho, my name is Wendi and I am 24 years old. I find that I am increasingly fascinated by the online world, and everyone's capacity for exhibitionism, so much so that here I am, participating in the orgy of self-exposure. It's compelling to read about a person's life in real-time. Some are much more interesting, fun, lucrative (etc.) than others, but I think it says a good deal about the human condition. People want to have an outlet for expression and blogging, most of the time, gives us a way to do that without fear of judgment (save the comment section). I have long been a writer, and writing, even if unpublished, gives me a sense of freedom, the ability to say "Look! There's a little bit of me that is on paper. A little bit of me that is tangible and proof of my own existence. A little bit of me that someone else might want to see someday."
It's really a powerful thing, which explains the success of blogging.

How did I get onto that soapbox? What I'm trying to say is that I am a young, married woman who adores the written word. I love to sing, dance, write, read, travel, laugh, eat, drink sweet tea (hence, the title of this first entry) kiss, and love, as many people do. I am a graduate student studying Liberal Arts, hoping to finish my novel and get it published by the end of the year. I love my Lord, for he is all that is good and lovely, and I am uniquely blessed with many unexpected wonderful things.

So, having introduced myself, I would like to say thanks for reading! I'll be here as often as I can, writing about my life, loves, work, fun, and adentures for anyone who cares enough to know.

Until then,

Wendi
